Jessica Carrasco is a Watsonville artist and founder of Carrasco Concepts. She was born in Santa Cruz and proudly raised in Watsonville, California. Her roots stem from her mother being born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, her biological father born in El Salvador and her step-father, born in Michoacan Mexico. She is an educator in the Pajaro Valley, currently, she teaches World History and U.S. History at Watsonville High School. Jessica has been focused on creating more spaces and opportunities for local artists, as well as advocating for a better quality of life in Watsonville. She currently is Vice President of the Pajaro Valley Art Gallery Board and serves as a Parks and Recreation Commissioner for the city of Watsonville. She is determined to create opportunities for youth and the next generations that aspire to grow in their beloved town of Watsonville. Through her childhood upbringing she has learned the beauty that her culture and traditions offer and with the education, experiences and knowledge she holds she hopes to share with the world what she is capable of creating and accomplishing. On her free time, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family, her daughter, reading, creating and playing soccer.
